                     Do you ever feel blue? are you easily distracted? does this blueness perhaps emerge as you look at an image and find yourself seduced by a water bottle that’s sitting on a table far off in the background? is this distracting? do your eyes glaze over when it happens? is everything now blurred and or stretched and or sagged; warped even? does the subject in this particular image disgust you? does the subject in this particular image devestate you? does it leave you dumbfounded? or does the subject in this particular image happen to make you sicktoyourstomach but there’s this table back there with an Evian water bottle sitting on it that you can’t help but fixate on as your eyes glaze over looking at that Evian water bottle in the background and does this make you sad? are you blue? is it all-encompassing, this blueness? is it everywhere? do you also feel helpless? do you perhaps see the Evian water bottle as some sort of witness to the scene captured by this image? do you now identify with this Evian water bottle? do you think perhaps that the bottle sees you too? do the madeup mountains on the Evian water bottle’s label return your gaze? as for this blueness, does it become a point of departure for you? or is it a middle ground to some other thing? do you know that drawings on blue paper emerged in Venice in Italy? that they were intially made on scraps of blue wrapping paper that wrapped the actual paper for drawing or printmaking? that the blue paper was not meant for artmaking but as buffer of the paper that was to be used for artmaking? do you consider that packaging? but do you know that particular shades of blue are an ideal middle tone for drawing? an ideal between light and dark? when an artist decorates the outside of a private jet, who’s the audience? or better yet has this always been the 🎯 audience? does that make you blue?
